3 Steps to a Better Mindset.

The stories you believe could hurt you.

When you start something new, it’s often scary. And when you’re unsure or feeling nervous… those old stories are probably going to pop up. Now, I’m not talking about the earth-shattering, big scary things. Of course your fears are going to surface — they’re trying to keep you safe!

But, I’m talking about the simple changes. Things like getting in shape or trying to balance All. The. Things.

You probably hear stories like “Who are YOU to do that?”, or, “I’ve already failed, so what’s the point of trying again?”

YEAH… you know those old familiar stories.

The problem is that if you’re not breaking down those stories and rooting out the limiting beliefs, you’re never going to move forward. You have to create a better mindset.

3 Steps to a Better Mindset.

Those things you’re believing will hold you back for FOR.E.VER.

They’ll stop you from doing what you’re called to do.

They’ll stop you from helping the people you want to help.

They’ll hijack your life and keep you stuck in the same place.

 

So… what do you do if you want to stop those lies? 

You’ve got a REPLACE them with a Better Mindset.

Every time you get closer to making changes, big OR small… those Old Stories are gonna surface. They’re trying to tell you that this might be dangerous. They’re trying to keep you safe. But staying safe also means you’re staying STUCK.

So: How do you replace the old stories with NEW ones? With the truth about WHO you’ve been created to be and WHAT you’ve been put in this earth to do?

So here are 3 steps to a Better Mindset:
  1. Grab a journal, and write down the story you’ve been believing. You know the one… it pops up when you really want to try something new or go after something that feels scary.

  2. Ask WHY. Why have you been believing that story? Ask WHY — again, and again… and AGAIN. I promise: you WILL find the root (if you’re willing to do the work to get there!). Keep asking WHY until you get that “aha” moment. You’ll know it! You might get chills or feel like a lightbulb went off in your head.

  3. Re-write the story! Flip it on it’s head. Writing a new story can feel awkward at first… it’s not natural, because your brain doesn’t know how to un-do what it’s been believing for so long. You can create an entirely new story, or take the lie and reverse it so it’s the truth.

Once you begin to change those stories you're believing, you'll start to see massive changes in your life. You'll see more consistency, and more growth. Best of all — you're going to see these changes making a difference in your life, and you're going to start living the way you've always wanted to.

Friend, your dreams and desires aren't out of reach. They aren't impossible because you're  a Hot Mess. The lifestyle you want is waiting for you to step into it — you just need to start re-writing those stories… and be willing to take a leap of faith. 😉
