I’ll never forget the day I went to yet another doctor after dealing with all kinds of health issues for over a year. During the check-up, I shared what was going on, and she told me five horrible words: “There’s nothing you can do.” The first doctor had told me that, too.
I felt so defeated. But something in my gut told me to keep searching. (And I’ve never been one to take “no” for an answer. 😂) So I kept looking. I cried (a lot!). I googled (a lot!). I took Advil for the migraines. And as I began putting the puzzle pieces together, I found a naturopath on a mission to help women just like me.
Finally — FINALLY! — I had some answers. Within a week, I was a different person. Within a month, my life was completely changed! Friend:
➢ If I had stopped when someone told me there was “no hope,” I never would’ve found the answers.
➢ If I had stopped when I thought I was too dis-organized, I wouldn’t have had the guts to try hosting a women’s conference. (And ignited a passion for public speaking!)
➢ If I had stopped every time I had imposter syndrome, I never would’ve started this business. 😱
If I had stopped, nothing would’ve changed… but everything would be different. 🤯 I would still be sick. I’d be stuck in indecision and doubt. I’d still be back there, overwhelmed, depressed, and sick… desperately wishing for a different life.
Friend, what if you DIDN’T STOP?!
What if you kept going until you found the answers to the question(s) you’re so desperately wishing for? What if you kept going, and you found the answers you need… and, like me, you end up finding SO MUCH MORE?
Here’s why You should Never Give Up:
“No” isn’t always a closed door.
Sure, the doctors told me “no,” but I just knew there had to be a different answer. The journey was a long one , but I’ve learned SO much! Sometimes “NO” is a chance to grow your faith and persistence.
You might find a bigger Purpose.
My struggles with feeling overwhelmed, depression, and health issues led me to create Chasing Wonderment, and now I get to share what I’ve learned with other overwhelmed women! Sometimes, your Mess becomes your Message.
You might find a new Passion!
In 2019, I had the honor of creating a women’s conference with friends. If I’m being honest: I almost quit. (Several times!) But if I had given up, I would’ve NEVER stepped on the stage and realized that it felt like HOME. Sometimes pressing into difficulty reveals dreams that you didn’t know were inside of you.
