How to Live Intentionally. (part 3: ACTION STEPS.)
Do you want to live intentionally? If you’re feeling stuck in the daily-ness of life, but you’re not sure how to get from point A to point B… You’re not stuck here! I’m here to tell you: You can live intentionally — and it’s not as hard as you might think.
Creating an intentional life (i.e. Chasing Wonderment) is a lot like putting an address in a GPS. In order to use a GPS, you need three things: Your current location (clarity), your destination (a vision), and the road that gets you to your destination (action steps)!
Do you feel like you can’t stick with any lasting changes in your life? You have big dreams, and high hopes… but then you try to make HUGE changes all at once. If you know you want to make changes (but you feel like you keep failing), it’s really hard to stay consistent and live intentionally!
The problem with “trying” to make changes (and not knowing where to start or what to change) is that you’re going to end up feeling like a yo-yo. And, worse still, is that leaves you feeling like a total failure. You might think “I just don’t have the will-power.” or, “I can’t stick with anything!” These are symptoms of a lack of focus and clear actions that keeps you from chasing wonderment.
Please hear me: You don’t need massive life-changes in order to live on purpose. I’ve found that you need three things: Clarity on where you are, a Vision for your future, and Action Steps to get you there. You can chase wonderment — even in the middle of a messy life.
It really is THAT SIMPLE. (and also, it’s NOT that simple. 😂)

The whole point of using a GPS is so you have clear directions on where you’re going, right? It would be really frustrating to enter an address into your GPS, and then have it give you super-vague directions to the nearest coffee shop! 😩
In other words; YOU. NEED. ACTION STEPS. You need to have a clear list of steps that you plan on taking to get to the kind of lifestyle you want to live! You might not get every single action step right, but the closer you get to your goals, the more clear the action steps will get.
If you’re not used to creating action-steps, this part of the process can feel strange. It is HARD to quantify a purposeful life! You might feel like the action steps you have written down aren’t big enough — or you might be tempted to create action steps that are HUGE (when, in fact, there are multiple action steps in each step you write down).
It’s possible to connect the pieces of your life so that you can live with intention and purpose! (That’s why this is PART 3! Click here for Part 1 and Part 2!) So, let’s dive in:
How to Live Intentionally (part 3: ACTION STEPS.)
(Grab your journal, because these questions will help you get one step closer to a more intentional life!)
What are 3-5 things you’d like to improve or change in your life?
Think about the areas of major importance in your life. (I call this a Priorities List!) If you were really intentional and purposeful about each of areas in your life, what would you change? How would your relationships look? What would you change about your home, your work, or your health?
How would you like to spend your time?
Are you spending (or wasting!) your time on things that truly matter? If you’re anything like most of the human population, there’s a good chance you spend plenty of time scrolling, and you’re constantly saying “I wish I had time for that…” So: If you had the time, what would you do with it?
Write down one simple decision that could make your whole life better:
This could be as simple as a night-time routine, or treating yourself to a fancy coffee once a week! Making one simple decision can jump-start your intentional living journey, and often seeing quick progress in one area of your life can spur you on to keep going!
Friend, if you’re willing to take the time and create a list of intentional action steps that get you closer to the lifestyle you desire, I bet you’d be surprised at how far you get. You can live intentionally, chase wonderment with joy!
