4 Tips for Intentional Goal Setting:

Have you ever felt like you’ve lost sight of the lifestyle you want to live? Or maybe you’re just so busy with everyday life that you're not being as purposeful you would like. If you feel like you need a goal-setting reset, it’s not that hard! Keep reading to learn 4 Tips for Intentional Goal Setting.


     As July starts, I've been busy working on setting up my new bullet journal and reviewing my goals for the next 6 months. And if this process has shown me anything, it's this:

It's REALLY easy to lose sight of your goals and intentions.

Intentional Goal Setting

I mean, let's be honest: Life is busy! Maybe that means that you've lost sight of the lifestyle you want to live… or maybe you're just being so busy with everyday life that you're not being as purposeful with your time. 

    If you've lost sight of your goals for an intentional life (or, maybe you're not sure if you even have goals!)…  it's not hard to reset and have more purposeful goal setting!

     At the beginning of each month, I review my goals, check in with how I'm doing, and get clear on what I would like to accomplish in the new month. It's a really fun process, and something I look forward to it every month.

Here are 4 tips for Intentional Goal Setting:

  • Find a way to quantify your goals.

    Saying “I want to lose 20 lbs.” is something you can actually track… but saying “I want to be more consistent”… that's tricky. It's hard to QUANTIFY intentional goals.

  • Clarify your Top 3-5 Values

    Your values are the 3-5 MOST IMPORTANT things in your life. These are like guideposts that make sure you're investing time in the things that matter most to you.

  • Set Valuable Goals!

    When you start setting goals, make sure that they line up with each of your values — so you know you’re creating a well-rounded lifestyle.

  • Do a Monthly Review!

    Doing a Monthly Review can help you make sure you’re staying focused on what matters most — month, after month. A series of easy journaling prompts can help you know what's working, what's not, and shift your goals (as needed).
